When a manager goes on leave, their approvals pile up. With Illizeo, you pre-configure temporary delegations or backup approvers to keep workflows moving even when the main approver is away.
Step-by-step #
-
Open My delegations #
Profile → Delegations. List of active, past and planned delegations.
-
Create a new delegation #
Pick the delegate (Illizeo directory), the period (from… to…), the relevant modules (leaves, expenses, performance).
-
Set a permanent backup approver #
For each approval role, name a backup triggered automatically after X hours without response.
-
Notify everyone #
The delegate gets a notification, the principal gets a summary on return.
-
Audit periodically #
The Delegations report lists who delegated to whom, when, for what.
Common use cases #
