Access management #
The Access management screen has three tabs.
- Users — who has access to the module, with their department and role.
- Roles & Permissions — the available roles and what each allows. Create a custom role adds one with its name, description and colour.
- Matrix — the roles × permissions grid. Click a cell to turn it on or off.
A role that departs from its original setting is flagged Modified vs preset, and Reset returns it to its initial state. Useful after a run of adjustments you have lost track of.
What the permissions separate #
The module’s rights are not a single block. They distinguish, among others: viewing a survey, creating one, launching it, reminding participants, seeing results, seeing comments, accessing the benchmark, exporting, sharing, generating reports, configuring reminders, editing emails, managing access and reading the log.
That separation is what lets you grant access to aggregated results without granting access to the verbatims.
Activity log #
The Activity log keeps the history of actions on the module: creation, launch, close, automatic reminder, manual reminder, role change, template change, export, configuration and permission change.
Each entry carries the date and time, the author, the action, the target and a detail. The log is append-only: an entry cannot be edited or deleted. That is what gives it value if a confidential survey is ever disputed.
