An end-of-contract document is generated from a template you prepared, filled with the record’s data, then filed and, if needed, signed electronically.
How Illizeo produces an end-of-contract document #
An end-of-contract document is a template filled with the employee’s data. You prepare the template once, with variables; Illizeo generates it for the chosen person, files it in their document space and, if you want, sends it for signature.
Step by step #
-
Prepare the template #
Work certificate, employment attestation, end-of-contract letter: one template per document, with the variables that will pull data from the record. A well-built template saves a line-by-line review at every departure.
-
Record the departure first #
Variables tied to the end of contract only have a value once the departure is entered. Generating before that produces a document full of gaps.
-
Generate for the employee #
Generation is done template by employee. Read the result: an empty variable nearly always points to missing data on the record, not to a broken template.
-
Send for signature if needed #
The document can go out for electronic signature through the configured connector — DocuSign, Adobe Sign or UgoSign. Signature reminders are sent by email, on a once-a-day pass.
-
File it and lock it #
Put it in an end-of-contract category and switch deletion off. This is the document you will be asked for again.
What does not exist #
No ready-made library of legal templates per country: the templates are yours. No automatic generation triggered by recording a departure. No batch production for several employees at once. And no end-of-contract document contains an amount computed by Illizeo — final settlement figures come from payroll.
FAQ #
Which documents should be prepared in advance?
The ones you produce at every departure: work certificate, employment attestation, confirmation letter. Exceptional documents are written case by case.
Can the employee retrieve them themselves?
While their account is active, yes, from their space. After deactivation, no: hand them over before.
What if the signer does not sign?
Reminders go out by email on the configured delay, and the request can be cancelled or relaunched manually from the signature tracking screen.
Are these documents traced?
Yes: generation, upload, downloads and the signature journey each leave their trace.
