The payslip is not produced by Illizeo: it comes from your payroll producer, from the file you sent them. What Illizeo adds is the distribution channel — a document space per employee, with rights, traceability and a retention period.

Create a dedicated document category #
A “Payslips” category, separate from contracts and certificates. It is what carries the rights: who uploads, who reads, who may delete.

Check who sees what #
Read rights on a category combine with the role’s scope. A manager who sees their team’s documents will see this category too unless you exclude them — check that before the first upload, not after.

Upload the payslips #
Upload happens on the employee’s record, into the chosen category. There is no bulk import that splits a batch of PDFs across employees: each document is attached to one person.

Lock deletion #
Each document carries a deletion-allowed setting. For payslips, leave it off: an employee who deletes their own payslip will ask you for it again three years later.

Let employees read them #
From their personal space they find their documents and download them whenever they want — without going through HR.
What does not exist #
Illizeo does not generate payslips and distributes none automatically at closing. No certified digital safe, no qualified timestamping, no electronic signature applied to the payslip at production. No collection of consent to paperless delivery and no opt-out period managed by the tool. No mobile push notification: the channels are the dashboard, email and Slack. No guaranteed fifty-year retention: the period is the one in your retention policy.

Does a departed employee keep access to their payslips?
No, access follows the account. Hand them their documents before they leave — the moment everyone still remembers.
Can a batch of payslips be uploaded at once?
Not through an import that would distribute them automatically. Attaching each one to an employee stays explicit.
Is the upload traced?
Yes, like other document actions: who uploaded, when, and what was downloaded afterwards.
What about the legal compliance of paperless payslips?
That depends on each country’s law and on how the payslip is produced and stored. Illizeo is not a substitute for a regulated digital safe; if your regulation requires one, it still has to be arranged alongside.
