The Performance module brings employee performance tracking into Illizeo: objectives and their key results (OKRs), objective-based bonuses, 1:1 meetings, reviews and review campaigns, the end-of-cycle dossier, continuous feedback and the talent review. This article explains where to find the module, how the screen is organised and what each person sees. It is for every user: employees, managers, HR and administrators.
Before you start #
- The Performance management module must be installed for your organisation and then enabled for you: it is enabled person by person.
- Each part of the module matches a permission in the PERFORMANCE section of the role matrix (Settings › Manage Employees › Employee Roles), with three levels: Access (read), Execute (act) and Admin.
- The Performance tab of the profile only appears if you hold at least one of these permissions: Objective, Feedback, 1:1 meeting, Place one’s team in the talent review (9-box) or Calibrate and close the talent review.
Where to find the module #
The module has no entry in the main menu: it lives in the Performance tab of a person’s profile.
- For yourself: open your profile, then the Performance tab.
- For a team member: open their profile (for example from the Employees list), then the Performance tab.
The screen opens with the Performance title, the cycle selector at the top right, then a row of tabs. Each tab has its own address: a link copied from the address bar reopens the same view, tab and cycle included.

The seven tabs #
A tab is only displayed if you hold the matching permission and, on a team member’s profile, if that person belongs to the population your role covers.
| Tab | What it contains | When it is shown |
|---|---|---|
| Performance Overview | The person’s reviews: one-off reviews and campaign reviews. | Feedback permission, Access level. |
| Upcoming Meetings | The person’s 1:1 meetings, upcoming and past. | 1:1 meeting permission, Access level. |
| Targets | Objectives, their key results and their progress. | Objective permission, Access level. |
| Continuous Performance | The continuous feedback the person has received. | Comments — View permission. On a colleague’s profile, the tab may also show only the feedback you have given them. |
| To fill | Your own to-do list: reviews to complete and peers to choose. | On your own page only. |
| Dossier | The person’s end-of-cycle dossier, to validate and sign. | Only when a cycle is chosen in the selector. |
| Talent review | The 9-box grid of the campaign: placing your team, calibrating. | On your own page only, with one of the two talent review permissions. |
If no tab is open to you, the screen shows No access: “You don’t have access to this person’s performance.” when the person is outside your scope, or “You don’t have access to any section of the Performance module.” when none of your roles carries a Performance permission.
The cycle selector #
A cycle is a review period (a year, a half-year, a quarter or a month) created by the administrator in Settings › Performance › Review cycles. The selector at the top right applies to the whole screen:
- All cycles (the default) shows the full history.
- Cycles are grouped by year, most recent first; a padlock marks a closed cycle.
- Choosing a cycle limits objectives, meetings and reviews to that period, and makes the Dossier tab appear.
- The chosen cycle stays selected when you switch tabs.

When the chosen cycle is closed, a banner says so: “… is closed: its content is frozen and can no longer be edited.” The selector is not displayed until at least one cycle has been created.
Contract and scope #
- Several contracts: if the person holds several contracts, objectives and meetings follow the contract chosen in the profile header. An objective or meeting created on screen is attached to that contract.
- One review or several: on the profile of a person who holds several contracts under your responsibility, a banner may offer Treat as a single interview or One interview per contract. See Completing and approving reviews.
- Who you can see: a permission says what you can do; the population you can do it on is the one your role covers, not just your reporting line.
Other ways in #
| Where | What you find there |
|---|---|
| Dashboard, “Your objectives” widget | Your objectives in progress, whatever their period, and their average score. The History button opens your Targets tab. |
| Dashboard, upcoming meetings tile | Your 1:1 meetings over the next 30 days. |
| Dashboard, quick actions | Schedule 1:1 and Objective open the Upcoming Meetings and Targets tabs of your own page. They are only shown with the Execute level of the matching permission. |
| Notification bell | The Performance tab gathers the module’s notifications (review to complete, dossier to sign, meeting scheduled, talent review). |
| Workflows › Performance | Requests to decide: approval of an objective declared achieved, transmission of an objective to payroll. |
| Settings › Performance | General Settings, Review cycles and Feedback Templates, for administrators and HR. |
| People Analytics | The Campaign progress and Professional interviews system reports. |

Who does what #
This is the default split; the administrator can adjust it in the role matrix.
| Profile | What they do in the module |
|---|---|
| Employee | Views their objectives and meetings, completes their reviews, validates their end-of-cycle dossier, gives continuous feedback to colleagues. |
| Manager | Sets and tracks their team’s objectives, completes reviews, validates dossiers on behalf of the company, places their team in the talent review, views 1:1 meetings. |
| HR team | Sets objectives, schedules 1:1 meetings, launches and tracks campaigns, calibrates and closes the talent review. |
| Payroll manager | Sends objective-based bonuses to payroll, provided they also hold the Objective permission. |
| Administrator | Grants permissions, designs review forms, sets up cycles and campaigns, reopens a review. |
Good to know #
- The screen follows your permissions: two people do not see the same tabs. If a tab is missing, ask your administrator for the matching permission.
- The “Your objectives” widget counts the objectives whose period includes today, whether annual, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly: an objective from a past or future period appears in the Targets tab, not in the widget.
- Skills are not managed in this module: they belong to the Training module. See Managing skills: framework, matrix and gaps.
- The module is available in French, English, German and Italian.
