Creation runs through five steps, with a progress bar at the top of the screen. You can go back at any point before publishing.
1. Questions #
Give the survey a title, then build the questionnaire. Questions are grouped into sections. For each one, pick the format — Scale (1-5), Free text, Single choice, Multiple choice or NPS — and the theme, which determines how results are grouped. Questions are reordered with Move up and Move down.
2. Participants #
Select the employees concerned. For a Lifecycle survey you select nobody: participants are added automatically based on their joining or leaving status, and the screen shows how many people currently match.
3. Settings #
Confidentiality, minimum threshold, frequency and rounds for a recurring survey, duration, reminders. These are covered in their own article.
4. Preview #
The questionnaire appears exactly as the employee will see it, with the estimated duration computed from the number and type of questions. You can replace it with a manual value.
5. Launch #
A final read-through, then Publish the survey. It becomes Scheduled if its opening date is in the future, Open if that date has been reached.
What blocks publication #
- The title is required.
- At least one question is needed, and none may be empty.
- At least one participant is needed, except for a Lifecycle survey.
