# Confidentiality and anonymity of your answers

Every survey is marked **Confidential** or **Visible**, and you are told which before you start answering.

## The two regimes

| Regime | What the employer sees |
| --- | --- |
| **Non-identifiable answers** | Answers are detached from your name and used only in aggregate. |
| **Names visible** | Answers are attached to their author. The survey says so explicitly. |

## The minimum threshold

A confidential survey also carries a **minimum number of responses**. Until that number is reached for a given scope — a team, a department — that scope's results are not displayed, not even to an administrator. That is what prevents tracing an answer back to one person in a small group.

On the results screen, a scope below the threshold shows as unavailable rather than empty: the distinction matters, because "not enough responses" is not "nobody answered".

## What response tracking shows

Even on a confidential survey, your HR team can see *whether* you have responded, so that pending people can be reminded. They cannot see *what* you answered. The two are kept separate in the product.
