# Price by coverage scope

An insurer does not bill a single employee the way it bills a family. The **Scope-based pricing** panel lets you enter a price per scope, and that grid is what drives both the contribution at enrollment and the employee-side simulator.

## Entering the grid

1. Tick the scopes the contract actually prices, among **Employee only**, **Employee + partner**, **Employee + children** and **Whole family**.
2. For each, enter the employer share and the employee contribution, per head and per month.
3. Save. Unticked scopes are no longer offered at enrollment.

## A scope ticked but not priced

It will be billed at the single per-head cost entered higher up on the benefit. If you enter no scope at all, the benefit stays subscribable at the single price — the behaviour of benefits created before the grid existed.

## Not priced is not free

The employee-side simulator shows a dash, not a zero, for an unpriced scope. If your employees see dashes where you expect amounts, the grid is incomplete.
