# People Analytics: what the module is for

People Analytics brings together the data already held in Illizeo and turns it into reports. The module **records nothing**: it reads what the other modules produce — employee files, absences, attendance, payroll, expenses — and lets you read it, export it and distribute it.

## Three spaces

| Space | What you find there |
| --- | --- |
| **System reports** | 14 ready-to-use reports in four categories. Nothing to configure. |
| **Custom reports** | Your own tables: you choose the period, the columns and the population. |
| **Analytics widgets** | A report pinned to your dashboard, so you see it without opening the module. |

## The four report categories

| Category | Reports |
| --- | --- |
| Human Resources | Headcount, FTE, Birthdays, Hires, Probation Periods, Terminations, Ending Contracts, Employee Turnover |
| Time Management | Absence Days, Absence Rate, Demographics, Attendance Periods |
| Payroll | Salaries |
| Expenses | Expenses |

## What filters what you see

Two mechanisms combine across the module: the **period navigator** (week, month, year or a free range) and the **employee filters**, which narrow the population by sub-company, office or department.

## Good to know

*Four reports only appear if the matching module is active for you. If a report is missing, see "Why a report does not appear".*
