# Getting started with People Analytics

**People Analytics** brings together Illizeo’s HR indicators and reports: a personal dashboard, a library of ready-made reports and a builder to design your own. This article introduces the module and points to one article per topic.

## Opening the module

The **People Analytics** menu opens the module on three tabs:

- **Employee Analytics**: your dashboard. You place the analyses you want to follow there, as tiles: system reports and your custom reports.
- **System Reports**: a library of reports provided by Illizeo (headcount, hires, absences, time, training, payroll, compliance…). Each opens with a chart and a table, and can be filtered and exported.
- **Custom Reports**: the reports you build yourself, column by column. A report can be a list of employees or an aggregate (counts, shares, averages, rates, a trend over time), with a chart.

The Employee Analytics tab: your tiles, then a free slot.

## What you see depends on your permissions

People Analytics applies the same rules as the rest of Illizeo:

- **People**: a report only counts and lists the employees in the population your role lets you see.
- **Information**: a column from a section of the employee file you cannot read stays empty for you. Pay and absence reasons follow their own permissions.
- **Modules**: the reports of a module (absences, attendance, training, scheduling, Swiss payroll, budget, Flex Office…) only appear if that module is enabled in your workspace and open to you.

**Good to know.** Two people opening the same report may see different figures: each sees the result calculated on their own population. Administrators have no override: they see what their roles grant, like everyone else.

## The module’s permissions

People Analytics permissions are set role by role in **Settings › Manage Employees › Employee Roles**, under “ANALYTICS & REPORTS”:

| Permission | What it unlocks |
| --- | --- |
| Analytics — Dashboard | The “Employee Analytics” tab. |
| Analytics — Select analysis | Adding, replacing or removing a tile. |
| Analytics — Charts | Filled tiles and the preview when selecting an analysis. |
| Analytics — Filters | Tiles follow the chosen period and population. |
| System reports — List | The list of system reports. |
| System report — Open | Opening a system report. |
| System report — Custom filter | The “Filters” button of system reports. |
| Custom report | The “Custom Reports” tab; at the Execute level, creating reports. |
| Export — Run (CSV/PDF/PPTX) | At the Execute level: exports and scheduled deliveries. |

Some system reports also require the permission of the module they come from (for example time counters, training or budget). The “System reports catalogue” article lists them.

## Going further

- **The Employee Analytics dashboard**: build and arrange your tiles.
- **System reports**: open, filter and export a report.
- **System reports catalogue**: the list of reports, family by family.
- **Creating a custom report**: columns, population, list or aggregate, preview and chart.
- **Describing your report to the AI**: let the AI fill in a report from one sentence.
- **Scheduling a report**: a file delivered every day, week or month.
- **Permissions and data confidentiality**: who sees what, in detail.
