# The Employee Analytics dashboard

The **Employee Analytics** tab is your dashboard in People Analytics. You gather there, as tiles, the analyses you look at most: system reports and your custom reports. This article explains how to add, arrange and remove a tile.

## Adding an analysis

A free slot, “Add an analysis”, always waits at the end of the dashboard, as long as there are analyses left to add.

1. Click **Select an Analysis** in the free slot.
2. In the “Select an Analysis” window, browse the reports or type a few letters in **Search reports…**: the search covers names and descriptions, with or without accents.
3. Click a report: its **Preview** appears on the right, with your data.
4. Click **Add**. The tile takes its place on the dashboard.

Select an Analysis: search, custom reports and preview.

The window shows two families:

- **System reports**, with their category (Human resources, Time management, Payroll, Training…).
- **Custom reports**, in a section of their own. Each card is marked “Aggregated” or “List”. Only the reports you can open are listed. The **Create a report** button opens the creation window directly (see “Creating a custom report”).

## What a tile shows

- **A system report**: its chart, on the current period and population.
- **A custom report**: its chart if it has one. Otherwise its summary: the aggregated table or, for a list, the number of employees and the first ten rows. The **Open the report** link leads to the full report.

While it calculates, the tile shows a grey outline of its content, so the layout does not jump when the figures arrive.

The Employee Analytics tab: your tiles, then a free slot.

## Changing, enlarging or removing a tile

Each tile’s menu offers:

- **Edit**: replace the analysis with another one, in the same selection window;
- **Size**: *One tile* or *Two tiles* wide;
- **Remove**: take the tile off the dashboard. The report itself is not deleted.

## Period and population

If your role includes the “Analytics — Filters” permission, tiles follow the period and population filters you chose in the system reports. Without it, each tile keeps its default period.

**Good to know.** Your tile layout is saved in your browser. It is yours alone: your colleagues do not see it, and it does not follow you to another computer or browser. Clearing the browser’s data resets it.

## A tile has disappeared?

- **The report’s module is no longer open** (disabled in the workspace, or withdrawn from you): the tile is hidden, not deleted. It comes back when the module is reopened.
- **The custom report was deleted** or is no longer accessible to you: the tile says the report could not be loaded. Remove or replace it.
- **“No analysis to display for your role.”**: your role has neither the permission to add an analysis nor the permission to view charts.

## Relevant permissions

| Permission | Effect on the dashboard |
| --- | --- |
| Analytics — Dashboard | Shows the tab. |
| Analytics — Select analysis | Offers “Add an analysis”, “Edit” and “Remove”. Without it, only the size can be changed. |
| Analytics — Charts | Shows the content of tiles and the preview in the selection window. |
| Analytics — Filters | Tiles follow the chosen period and population. |
| Custom report | Offers your custom reports in the selection window; at the Execute level, the “Create a report” button. |
