# Declare a life event

A marriage, birth, move or divorce entitles you to review your cover outside enrollment periods. You declare it from the **A change in your life?** banner.

## Declaring the event

1. Click **Declare an event**.
2. Pick the type: **Marriage / civil union**, **Birth**, **Moving** or **Divorce**.
3. Enter the **Event date**, then **Submit**.

The declaration lands in the HR request queue under the **Life event** type, and stays being processed until it is handled.

## Supporting document

No document is required when declaring, but one may be requested afterwards. After a marriage or a birth, remember to add the person to your dependents as well.

## Banner missing?

Life-event declaration can be switched off company-wide. Go through your HR team in that case.
