# Budget module indicators, exports and action log

The **Reporting** tab brings together the module's key indicators, the Excel and PDF exports of each tab and the action log. It is intended for management, HR and finance.

## Before you start

- The "Reporting" permission opens the tab at the **Access** level (indicators and exports); the **Execute** level adds the action log. By default: Execute for the Administrator and HR Manager roles; Access for Payroll Manager and Accounting.
- Each indicator and export also requires the permission of the tab it comes from: Reporting only shows what you can read elsewhere.

## The indicators

Choose the **Fiscal year** at the top of the page (the previous, current or next year).

| Cost per FTE | The fiscal year's projection divided by the FTE | Monitoring |
| Actual against budget | The gap to the budget over the elapsed months | Monitoring |
| Projection (chosen fiscal year) | The year-end projection against the budget | Monitoring |
| Turnover cost (12 months) | The turnover rate over the last 12 months and, if the cost of a departure is set, its amount | Monitoring |
| Salary review impact | The amount committed by the latest campaign and its share of the population's payroll | Salary review |
| Projection (next fiscal year) | The projection of the next fiscal year's reference scenario | Simulation |
| Adjusted pay gap | The result of the last recorded pay equity analysis | Pay equity |

The turnover cost adds up, for each departure in the last 12 months, the person's annual salary multiplied by the "Cost of a departure (% of annual salary)" set in the module settings, Reporting section. Without this setting, the indicator only gives the turnover rate. Turnover cost, salary review impact and the pay equity gap do not depend on the chosen fiscal year.

## Exports

The **Exports** card offers one export per tab you can read, in **Excel** (one sheet per section) or **PDF** (A4 landscape):

| --- | --- |
| Budget monitoring | Budget, actuals and projection by unit, and the twelve-month series of the chosen fiscal year |
| Pay scale & positioning | Ranges, assigned contracts, median compa-ratio and out-of-range, class by class |
| Salary review | The chosen campaign: budget and committed by unit; named decisions only for those who run the review (otherwise "(aggregates only)") |
| Simulation | The chosen scenario (the reference by default), from the current base to the projection, effect by effect |
| Pay equity | The Confederation model's result and raw gaps by group, within the confidentiality threshold, calculated on the day of the export |
| Payroll variance N/N-1 | The breakdown of the variance between the chosen fiscal year and the previous one |

Permissions are checked again when the export is produced.

## The action log

At the Execute level, the **Action log** card shows who did what in the module: **Date**, **Author**, **Action** (created, updated, deleted), **Object** and the **Fields** changed, never their values.

1. Choose the period with **From** and **To**.
2. Choose the **Log**: "Whole module", "Module objects" or "Review actions".
3. Browse the pages with **Previous** and **Next** (50 lines per page).

Exports and the action log

The author is the person who acted, "Illizeo support" for a support intervention, or "System"; an action carried out while impersonating someone shows "on behalf of". The same entries appear in **Settings › Manage Illizeo › User Logs**, where the **Module** filter offers the Budget module and the salary review.

## Good to know

- There is no export of the Multi-year & funding tab.
- The log's **Fields** column shows the technical names of the fields changed.
- Leavers with no reference salary are not counted in the turnover cost.
- The module's system reports (for example "Pay scale positioning" and "Pay equity (GEA)") are also available in People Analytics.
