# Suppliers and contracts

The **Suppliers & contracts** register holds what belongs to the contract rather than to the benefit: number, renewal date, how data flows in, contact. Two benefits with the same insurer both link to it, instead of duplicating the same references twice.

## Creating a supplier

1. **Add a supplier**, then fill in the trading **Name** and the **Legal name**.
2. Enter the **Contract no.** and the **Next renewal** date.
3. Choose the integration: **Connected API** or **Manual entry**.
4. Add the contact (name, email, phone), then **Save**.

## Importing from the Illizeo catalogue

The **Import** button pulls suppliers from the Illizeo catalogue for your company's country. Import never overwrites an existing row: what you entered stays yours.

## Delete or deactivate

A supplier with benefits attached cannot be deleted — Illizeo answers **Deletion not possible** and offers to **Deactivate** it instead. An inactive supplier stays readable in history but can no longer be selected.
